Alec Baldwin advises Charlie Sheen in editorial: 'You can't win. Really. You can't.'

Alec Baldwin had a little bit of unsolicited advice for troubled star Charlie Sheen.

Gainfully employed TV actor Alec Baldwin is giving advice to out-of-work Charlie Sheen: Beg for your job back and buy maligned co-star John Cryer a car.

In an editorial for the Huffington Post on Saturday, the man who plays a network executive on NBC's "30 Rock" tells Sheen he should abandon his battle with CBS, Warner Bros. and producer Chuck Lorre.

"You can't win. Really. You can't," Baldwin wrote, explaining that studios and networks operate on the principle that no actor is greater than a hit show.

"In that regard, they are often right," Baldwin said, before launching into a downright Sheen-esque description of the fired "Two and a Half Men" star.

"Add to that the fact that the actor who is torturing their diseased egos is a drug-addled, porn star-squiring, near-Joycean Internet ranter, and they really want you to go," Baldwin wrote.

"You know what you should do? Take a nap. Get a shower. Call Chuck. Go on Letterman and make an apology. Write a huge check to the B'Nai Brith. And then beg for your job back," he added.

In a post-script, he added: "Buy Cryer a really nice car" - a reference to Sheen's rant in which he called his co-star a "troll" for not publicly supporting him.

Sheen, 45, was fired last week after a run of debased behavior that included sex-and-drugs benders, insulting his TV bosses on air, and bizarre video manifestos.

While his $2 million-an-episode TV gig is history, he does have more than 2 million followers on Twitter, where fans wait for the latest pronouncements about his "tiger blood" and "Adonis DNA."

One fan, David Pack, 26, of Kansas City, penetrated Sheen's Los Angeles estate and was arrested on Thursday night.

Pack's father told RadarOnline his unemployed son "believed that Sheen has been persecuted and he wanted to talk with him over plans for a different show."

The incident reportedly prompted Sheen to hire former Israeli military bodyguards to protect him and his live-in galpals - a porn star and a marijuana magazine model.
