If you'd told us six months ago we'd be asking Radio 1's ?Comedy' Dave Vitty - who's currently in the middle of a Comic Relief broadcasting marathon with Chris Moyles - to pose in his pants, we'd have thought you'd been on a bender with Amy Winehouse.

But since Dancing On Ice, Comedy Dave's become an unlikely heartthrob.

When Now meets Dave, 36, in a north London studio, he's nervous at the prospect of stripping off.

?I'm worried you might be expecting this six-pack and be disappointed. Can you paint on some abs? It'll be our little secret,' he whispers.

Dave, you look H-O-T! How has your body changed since DOI?

I've lost at least a stone and about 4in off my waist. I haven't been this weight since I was about 14! I haven't got a six-pack yet, but I'm much more streamlined.

Has getting in shape made you more body confident?

Yes, definitely. I've never been an exhibitionist - I'm the kind of guy who only takes his top off on the beach. I'm not particularly happy with the way I look, but when I look in the mirror now I feel a bit better.

Comedy Dave, are you surprised you've become an unlikely sex symbol?

I've honestly not been aware of any more female attention. I've had a load of support on Twitter, but I didn't know people were going: ?Phwoar!' I don't think I'm ugly, but I don't think I'm a good looking bloke either.

If Armani asked me to model their pants, I would, but I'm a long way from being a chiseled hunk.
