Meredith Vieira Leaving The ?Today? Show In June

Meredith Vieira is leaving the Today show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The morning show?s co-anchor will step down from her position in June, three months before her contract is up. Taking over for Vieira is (a personal favorite of mine) Ann Curry, who will pass off her newsreader duties to Natalie Morales. The announcement is expected to take place sometime next week.

Vieira has been co-hosting the Today since 2006, but is leaving to focus on her personal life-Vieira?s daughter is going to college in the fall and her husband suffers from multiple sclerosis. Vieira still hosts the syndicated show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and recently produced her first movie, Return.
