Jill Zarin is one lucky lady. A source tells us the reality star experienced genuine anxiety when she misplaced a pricey diamond bracelet at the 2011 Bravo Upfront party on Wednesday. Zarin, who joined her "Real Housewives of New York City" castmates at a Mercer Street loft in Soho, noticed the "huge, all-diamond bracelet" had slipped from her wrist at the beginning of the party, and according to our insider, "everyone began frantically looking for it." It wasn't until right before a crestfallen Zarin was about to depart that a fellow female guest found the bauble lying on a table and returned it to the grateful redhead.

Lebowitz is elusive

Fran Lebowitz ? Where a Curmudgeon Can Be a Curmudgeon! On Wednesday, Graydon Carter co-hosted the New York premiere for "His Way," a new HBO documentary about legendary producer Jerry Weintraub. But at the dinner later at Porter House in the Time Warner Center, the Vanity Fair editor was overheard joking with a friend about the likelihood of catching Lebowitz at a showing of her own HBO doc, "Public Speaking" (which Carter also produced). "It's not like Chuck E. Cheese," Carter said. "There's no guarantee she'll be there!" Alas ... but we'd be the first to throw our birthday party at a Fran Lebowitz-themed play center.

Meanwhile, Kyle MacLachlan and wife Desiree Gruber demonstrated how the rich become rich ? or how the lucky get luckier. As the pair entered an elevator to the fete, Gruber peered at the ground. "Is that a lucky penny?" she said. "Yes! It is!" exclaimed MacLachlan, and leaned out the door to pick it up. He said he planned to hold on to it.

Success is the best revenge

Barbara Corcoran will never forget what her former real-estate partner and live-in beau, Ray Simone, told her when she informed him she was leaving him and going into business for herself: "You will never make it without me." Corcoran walked out because, as she writes in her hot-off-the-presses book, "Shark Tales: How I Turned $1,000 Into a Billion Dollar Business," Simone was having an affair with their secretary (whom he later married). So we're not surprised to hear that her ex was one of the first people Corcoran invited to her book party this Tuesday at 15 Union Square West. So far, Simone hasn't RSVP'd, but Corcoran's husband of 22 years, real-estate investor Bill Higgins will be on hand to fete his wife.

Mr. Big still has 'Sex' appeal

Mr. Big still means something in this town. The dude-crew cast of "That Championship Season" ? Jim Gaffigan, Kiefer Sutherland, Brian Cox, Jason Patric and Chris Noth ? raised $2,000 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS last week when they gang-autographed the labels of two bottles of Jameson Whiskey (which figures in the play) and auctioned them for a grand each after curtain call. Noth played the auctioneer, and we hear that with each bottle, bidding spiked when Patric added that the winner would also get a "kiss from Mr. Big."

Jackie Robinson was the anti-Trump

You're not fired! Parkinson's Disease Foundation Chairwoman Page Morton Black recalls that, unlike "Celebrity Apprentice" host Donald Trump, the late baseball icon Jackie Robinson had a real aversion to firing employees ? and rarely did ? when he worked as VP of personnel for her husband, William Black's Chock Full O' Nuts coffee company. Robinson also helped William Black with fund-raising for the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, which will hold its annual gala May 10 at the Pierre hotel.
