Lamar Odom: A Kardashian Team Player!

Getting Lamar Odom to do a new reality show was no slam dunk.

Just three days into filming Khlo� and Lamar with spouse Khloe Kardashian, the Los Angeles Lakers star was looking to back out of the whole thing.

"He said, 'Can you tell your mom to get us out of this contract,'" Kardashian told Ellen DeGeneres on her show Tuesday. Why would he want that?

"I thought it was going to be easy," Odom said. "It's really tough."

UNBREAKABLE: This union is forever, through reality shows and thin.

But his wife was resolute in their pursuit of reality stardom: "I go, 'Absolutely not,'" Kardashian said. "I go, 'Nope, that ship has sailed. I told you.'"

That's not to say that Khloe didn't understand Lamar's hesitation.

"It's a lot. I mean, I knew from doing my family's show how intense and grueling it is. I personally didn't want to do the show," Kardashian said.

"But, I love taping. I just didn't want to put Lamar through that pressure, and Lamar was like, 'Let's do it. Everyone keeps asking. Let's do it.' "
