Miranda Lambert: No Kids for a While

Miranda Lambert is in the middle of planning her upcoming wedding to fianc� Blake Shelton ? and having kids is not on her to-do list.

"We have seven dogs, so we're just taking care of them," the bride-to-be, 27, tells the May issue of Health, on newsstands April 22. "We have so much going on right now, we're gonna wait a while. The dogs are really good birth control!"

Lambert also gushes about her future husband, saying the pair are a solid match.

"We balance each other out," the country star says of Shelton, 34. "He's constantly joking, and I'm more serious. He can make me laugh at any point."

The curvy blonde, who earlier this month proudly proclaimed Shelton would love her at any size, also opens up about the pressure celebrities can feel to be waif-thin.

"I'm a normal-size girl, and I'm fine with that," she says. "All these stars are so tiny, and they spend their lives trying to be skinny. I want to look my best, but I'm not a model. I'm not an actress. I'm representing normal girls."
